Matahariku

Tertutup sudah pintu, pintu hati ku,
yang pernah dibuka waktu hanya untukmu,
kini kau pergi dari hidupku,
ku harus relakanmu walau aku tak mau.

Berjuta warna pelangi di dalam hati,
sejenak luluh bergeming menjauh pergi,
tak ada lagi cahaya suci,
semua nada beranjak aku terdiam sepi.

Dengarlah matahariku, suara tangisanku,
ku bersedih karna panah cinta menusuk jantungku,
ucapkan matahariku puisi tentang hidupku,
tentangku yang tak mampu menaklukkan waktu.

IM STUDENTS RAISED $ 77,700.55 FOR SMARTER

IM Charity Evening Commitee Members

"Reach Out, Touch A Heart"

Last 12th April, IM organised the Fund Raising Presentation Ceremony for IM Charity Evening 2008, finally after about 2 month finalising and completing the fund collection. VC was invited as Guest of Honour, UBD Principal Board Officers and other Administrative Officers, Faculty Deans, SMARTER parents, volunteers & committee members were invited to the ceremony.

The event started off with arrival of VC, followed by a Welcoming Speech by one of the Co-Chairs of the Committee, YOURS TRULY :p and then speech by Haji Malai, the president of SMARTER. Certificates were presented by VC to all the committee members and the volunteers. Following this was the Cheque Presentation to Haji Malai and finally, Certs and Token of Appreciation from SMARTER to IM.

What was cool about it was that IM has reached our target. We totally didn't expect we would be able to raise that much, especially when not all the tickets were not sold. So, the money was raised collectively from the ticket sales, T-shirt and Key Chains sales and Donations. Even then, we still thought we would not be able to raise that much in 3 weeks. 3 weeks!!!!
Can u imagine??? all the hard works were really paid off. I'm really proud..

I hope the IM Charity Evening 08 will be a stepping stone for the juniors/other faculty/anyone who wants to organise a honourable fund-raising activity like this. It is really such a rewarding experience for me.

Just beautiful~

Busy Friday

The highlight of this day was the Soto lunch...aha. I had soto for lunch tadi at Soto Bunut restaurant at Qlap (not located in Bunut people). Anyway, it was delicious...nyum nyum. Earlier on, went to the bank to withdraw some cash for Korea trip in June (can't wait!!!-grinnning widely just thinking bout it). Next destination was RIPAS to lawat nini, then THE lunch. After, went to buy grocery. Actually, nothing much interesting was happening la.

Night-busy assigning people to call up the volunteers and drafting for the Welcoming Speech for Fund Raising Presentation for IM Charity Evening 2008 tomorrow. Almost forgotten bout the speech actually. Thank god i remember, if not die la. Of all people, why me to give that speech??? I know im the co-chairperson but Nellie is too wat? Owh well, no point nagging about it, the hard work was done anyway. Next is to search for the proper cloth for the function tomorrow. Was asked to wear pink/red...hmmm. I don't know if i have one. After this post, ill go hunt lah.

My to do list still many to cover...(sigh).

OOO...now i remember! Last night I went to Empire Cinema with dad, mom, yazid and zaim watching Malay movie called Akhirat. It was all about a married woman who got AIDS after tragically being raped, the secret that she has to keep from her husband fearing that he would leave her after finding out the truth. The movie also potraits how unlucky her life and fate was because not only she got raped, after that, just after she got married, her husband who was in the army got posted out of the country. Then, just before husband got back, she got into an accident on the way to pick her husband. From the accident and throughout the recovery phase, she and the hubby had never had their "Malam Pertama" (LOL!) Basically, it was funny la to see the hubby frustrated everytime kan approach, the wife would said she's tired. LOL!!!! But on serious note, it was a sad story. I would have to say i don't quite like the story line. Rate
 overall: 4/10

Hmm...ayt. I think i better go now...

Exercise Scheme, Family Life and Uni Lyf

Healthy Lifestyle

Phew...interesting week. So many "exciting" things happening. I've been back to my old Healthy Lifestyle regime : No-Rice-Diet+Exercise. Started going to the gym last Saturday after clinical placement @ Ward 4 RIPAS. Wow..i must say, i miss the gym and the feeling of body ache all over ya. I'm happy and quite pleased with myself that I've taken this exercise thing for real this time around months of lazy-ing around and petting my fat ass n tummy. Anyway...Monday, i was back to the gym for Aerobic Session. It was great to be back on that scene. HMm...it was alright i guess, but i still prefer my old aerobic instructer back in Batu Besurat. God, i missed the old times..

Family lyf

Sad Sad Sad...Last Friday, i found out my grandad was admitted at the hospital. I was shocked and scared thinking of the many possible things dat went wrong with him. Later that day, when i went to visit him, i was shocked to find how thin and cachexic he is! I stared at him for long time..never leaving my eyes off him, thinking, brain-stimulating and brainstorming of the real reason / cause that might have caused him to be in that state...Poor poor nini... I feel so sad la. Later that night, me and shaz took the opportunity to ask the staff nurses what's wrong with him. OMG...after knowing wat he had, my heart just melts away. The nurse told us he was diagnosed with Acute and Chronic Renal Failure! and to my suprise rupanya nini pernah stroke! no wonder he has drooping face on one side. I didn't notice it at all and im  a medical student!
owh god..i do, really2 DO HOPE AND PRAY so nini will get better soon. Eventho i know he'll be dialysis machine, but it will save his life for sure, wats left of his remaining
life..i love u nini..please do get better..

Reminiscing...

Thursday!!! It's PBL Day!!!

Lyk always, haven't finish SDL-ing for the PBL in the afternoon..*sigh* That's not the highlight of the story btw, it was the Studio Class/Group Photo Session i was anticipating and looking forward to. We have been planning this actually since year 1 but never did manage to find time for it, if we do, few were MIA. We had OC lecture that morning before the photoshoot. We then went straight to Gadong, Superb Photo Studio (i think), spend almost 1 + plus waiting for our dear Nad to arrive, then the photoshoot started. It was F.U.N. indeed. We did 3 different pose: Formal, Semi-formal and Free-style Poses. A lot of my friends like the Free-Style one simply because it really shows our group personality and dynamic. The girls told me they like me in that photo, i have no idea why. 8ah said coz i stand out from the rest because they never / rarely see me smile showing my teeth whenever i took pose..ahaa. Maybe. When i looked at the photo..mmm, im not sure it was my best pose, but hey, Sonia
said just take the compliment, be Thick-Skin lyk her..lol!

The free-style pose

After the shoot, we went to McD for early lunch. Typical of us, the photo shoot session still carries on, haha..we don't need to be professional photographer to take our photos, we are already PRO. During PBL, we showed the photo to our facilitators. Most of them like the Semi-Formal one. At first I didn't think that pose was one of the best ones, but after a while, looking at it closely..hmm..yea, its actually the best one. So, yea, i think it's my favourite one.
McD Ambassador

*sigh* Memories...starting to flashback all those memories we had as a group. Together, 15 of us make a Good, Nice, Happy Family. I mean, of all the 3 batches, we had the best group dynamic, even our dean think so.

For 3 years now we've been together as a group, the 1st cohort of the newly-established Health Science program, we were back then and still at the present time considered as the experimental "guinea pig" group. The 15-members cohort was the first group ever to be exposed to Problem Based Learning (PBL) and medical school curriculum. Damn, we've gone through soo much, hell yes, we did. From the very first Mini-OSCE interview before we were even accepted, the Induction week where we were starting to get acquainted with each other, getting and wearing our White Coat, first placement to Health Centres/RIPAS, going to labs with our Blue Coat, afternoon lunch outs, movie plans, sitting for exams, surviving OSCE for 5 semesters, doing SSM research that we didn't even think we were capable of doing before, participating in endless IM functions, having our 1st juniors, organising IM first ever biggest event-IM Charity Evening for SMARTER @ Amphitheatre and the list goes on..

Beautiful memories they are indeed...
