Its a BRAND NEW YEAR!!!

Hello peeps~

Its 2009!!! Another brand new year to begin a new start in life. 2008 has been a year of ups and down, a rollercoster journey ride for me.

Beginning of the year 08 was really painful for me. Hectic life as well. Remember me organising the Charity Evening, spending my December holidays, hunting for sponsors all over Brunei, driving all the way to KB, working my ass of days and nites just to make the Charity Evening come to live. It did and it was a wonderful ride indeed.

With Charity Evening over, i had my last semester in IM. Leaving IM was a hard one, who would have guessed the 3 years in IM would bring sooo many sweet memories.

Then, my summer holiday, the remaining of my days in Brunei before i fly off to Glasgow. It was a bittersweet memories. I remember going back and forth to hospital to visit grandma @ SICC, sleeping over at the not so comfy bench outside with my cousin, photoshopping and learning to digital scrap from my mentor cuz Khal, running a blog..it was exhausting but nevertheless memorable and surprisingly fun.

Then i lost my grandpa, whom I love dearly and unconditionally. I would never forget that moment when i lost him.

You would have thought losing someone you love is hard, but it is even harder to leave someone behind for a long time. I vividly remember, giving my last visit to granny who was still in the hospital, it still breaks my heart just to mention it. For the first time in my 23 years of life, I had to leave my family behind in Brunei, so i could continue my studies. Sacrifices they say, and its a hard one for me. I'm grateful to have such a wonderful suportive loving family, they might not be perfect, but they are to me in every way. They made me who I am today.

Setting my first baby steps in a foreign country was a hard one too. Adjusting to the new culture, new weather, new family, new surrounding were all so overwhelming. One could just crash and failed to adapt. How grateful I am to have good friends whom i considered to be my new family now, Edah and Syukri. We believe our group dynamics are the best among the rest because we believe we are just like siblings. Celebrating Raya without parents was among the hardest thing I ever imagined. Thank god to the new tech.

3 months studying in my new Glasgow Uni was not that bad either. Eventhough it was hard to accept changes, but i'm adapting and getting used to it. I met new friends. Learn to be independent. Gain new experiences.

Now here I am, reminiscing the good old days of 2008. It was a bittersweet journey.

A good friend ever told me and i quote "Learn to love the life u live and learn to live the life you love". I learnt now :)

Sorry guys...Inda ku terupdate lagi blog ku ani since almost everyone's is on facebook. LOL. I kinda miss my blog, but whenever I enter, its kinda depressing, maybe I should tukar the layout again. It's currently dark and dull and such a bore :S

Birthdays

Happy Birthdays to my flatmates, Syukri and my best greatest girlfriend , Edah. Kalau dulu, digiscrapping lagi. LOL. Anyway, it was great fun to plan birthday suprises for both of them. Pictures? - Just go to Facebook la. LOL.

Anywho...I'm watching football tonight. Huhuhuhu. Exciting. For the first time ever in UK. Its a match between Scotland and Argentina @ Celtic Stadium. Hate me much bros? LOL

Ayt, gonna go take a short nap...OR procrastinate for a while LOL.

Best Weekend Ever!!! (in Glasgow)

I'm sooo happy! I had my best weekend so far ever since I was here. Friday was superb because it was my first time putting on costumes and going to Halloween Party. SATURDAY

I pretty much wasted the whole morning and half of my Saturday afternoon LOL. Went back home from Bra and OG's crib at about 7am. Was so exhausted and had one of my most severe gastric pain ever, that I went straight to bed with my makeup and fake eyelashes still on LOL. Too bad I lost one of it, 4 pounds down the drain. Woke up at about 3pm, made myself lunch. I thought I would have wasted my Saturday stuck in the flat but was so glad and happy to find out that my M'sian friend, Lili invited us to celebrate her bday. And wait, even much better, guess where she's inviting us! Sushi place!!!!

What happen on Sunday was a great Weekend finale! I finally went to watch a movie at the CineWorld!!! Lucky movie of the weekend: Quantum of Solace 007!

I know, i was supposed to post this like few days ago. Sorry banget. Weekend was so fantastic that I forgot about all this. LOL.

Anyway, my halloween costume was...

Not that scary tho, but who cares :P

Friday Halloween Madness

It was super fun! I'd have to say I'm very impressed at how some ppl can go to the extent of spending so much just for halloween costumes. I guess having the Best Costumes do raise its stakes. Each of us have to bring food and guess what me and Edah brought - Banana fritters!!! Yeap, I'm not joking you. We have to improvise a lot since there isn't any Pisang Sabah (luruskah?) here. Not too bad, ppl actually ate them because we went back home with empty container! Heeee. Thanks Nanah for giving me the tips MMwwuaH! 

Anyway, there so many things to tell. We had a bit of "scary/suspense" entrance to the crib LOL. We had a bit of ice breaking session - getting to know the seniors and juniors, election session (will explain later on), a Charade game, Twister, UNO Stacks, Poker, Monopoly, Guitar Heroes and late night horror movie (not so horrifying - it was MIRROR).

Election - We had been asked to nominate a new Vice President, a new Treasurer, 2 Event Coordinators and a Religious Officer for BruScot. And...guess what? I've been elected as one of the new Event Coordinator. Yippee? I have no idea why people nominated me when I think most of the BruScot people don't know my background. *sigh...and I thought I am done with "The Job"(as i called it). Ok i have to think positives...At least this will look good on my CV :D So here's the list of the new elect:

• Treasurer: Waniey
• Event Coordinators: Me and Aqilah @ Kiki Lala
• Religious Officer: Syukri

Now, its time for me to reveal my halloween look, its not scary tho' but yea, who cares. I am appearing as someone...a celebrity. Guess who?

• Lipsticks: Mabelline Pink in the Afternoon & Sheseido Red Luxe Rouge Faste
• Makeup: Combo of Faceshop & Revlon eyeliners
• Hair: By Hairstylist Edah and complimented with Edah's flower brought all the way from Brunei
• Earings: Silver loops bought from China
• Tattoos: Made by Edah complimented with her so called "Kiss of Life" and made using a removable marker.
