Glasgow blackouts

Strange things happenned today. Flat kami tutup karan (lasting for about an hour), not just our flat, the whole building infact, even the shops downstairs were having the same problem. In fact, I called a friend of mine who lived few blocks away pun tutup karan. Even weirder, there's no service for my 02 line, not just mine, even my friends'! Bowhhhh, is the world coming to an end? (as jim's said)

My easter holiday so far ...

Pretty much unproductive... Beginning of last week, I went cruising around Byre's road and Great Western Road to buy toiletries for my Paris trip (syked!!!!) and bought few cheap books @ some charity shop. Also went to crash at a friend's place for 2 days  - doing nothing except giving him a mental physical support while he's revisioning lol - i was such a pest. Then I went to another friend's house during the weekend for Syikeen's farewell - she's leaving Glasgow for good :'(

I got myself a province in Afghanistan!

Okay so what if the location is not ideal, at least I have a province (yes! a province) named after me! How awesome is that?? And even better, there's a river running through the city called The Farah River! 

More info on this:

• it's one of the 34 provinces in Afghanistan, located west of the country
• it has a city named Farah ;)
• population of 338,000 ( I got a population!)
• populated by Parsiwan/Farsiwan/Persian majority
• it has 11 districts
• the city of Farah is a historical site as it has a citadel built by the famous Alexander The Great
• the culture is Partiarchal (concept used to refer to the expectation that men take primary responsibility for the welfare of the community as a whole) where tribal leaders are highly respected.

Boredom...

I'm pretty much a lazy bum this week. Sooo unproductive! The only few things that I could remember doing were: finishing up my Schizophrenia case, chatting endlessly with my brother and mum and helping Azmi re-deco his room. Awu mie, antara semua bilik2 dGlasgow, ko punya tah yang paling lawa.

Did I tell you what happen to my laptop again? Turns out before the reformatting phase, my microsoft xp edition that Al installed for me is not compatible / validated with my laptop - coz' apparently mine was xp home edition all this while. Sooooo, i have to reformat lagi balik. Sighh...

Owh we're having Maulud Nabi Celebration later on @ Mimie and Kikie's place. Looking forward to that, mostly because I love having BruScot functions. It's the only time we get to see all of them, if not most of them. Which reminds me...I have to iron my clothes and tudong..

Weekend in Manchester

Was away for the weekend, went to "surprise" Azmi (my guitar doc) who went to perform in the Brumanch Talentime thingy in Manch. I said surprise with " " pasalnya tau2 he knew me and jim coming after all...so much for the surprise LOL. But I have to respect him for "acting" surprised LOL. Thanks dude.

Anyway, it was a good fun, spending the weekend away from Glasgow with bunch of awesome people, an adventure in some bits and pieces of the trip to Manch w si jim, but yea, was really good. A good reunion too, I'd have to say - met Mel, my former highschool crazy fanatic partner dangan ku begila and met my 2nd cousin Nida, who I've grown close to back when we're in ugama school. The only time i met these 2 was back in Brunei, baru tah terjumpa di UK.

Talentime itself was exciting, didn't really know what to expect but I know it's gonna be interesting to see the performance, especially Azmi's. It was soo awesome that we, well at least I did, screamed my lungs out just to cheer him up. Don't have the video with me yet, but I'll be sure to post them here if I can. There are few which I particularly like though - one from Jan (Jannah Yussop), gosh.... i wish i can play guitar and sing as good as her. She composed this song called "I'm Not Perfect" especially for her boyfriend, and it was really really undeniably one of the best song and performance I've heard from her, in fact from any talented Bruneian girls I've ever come across with (not that I've heard a lot tho kekeke). The audience litterally went silent just to hear her soft "haunting" (Edah, 2009) voice...sigh~

Almost everyone thought Azmi's gonna win but sadly, he didn't. He should. I don't know why but somehow there's a lot of flaws in the judging - people who you least expected to win actually won. I don't wanna bitch around about this too much, but yea, I did noticed there's quite a lot of people who are not satisfied with the results. Owh well, there's always next year Mie~

Guitar Clinic

Guitar - my new fav past-time. My weekend is now filled with the music of ochestrating guitars - been learning to play I think since last month. I have 3 awesome guitar gurus - Mimie, Jimster and Kikie. So every Fri we would have this so-called "Guitar Clinic" (Azmi, 2009) conducted by Mr.Azmi and assisted by Mr.Jim and Mr.Kikie. Owh, Khai @ Mas's learning too :D
